Board and Train
We have professionally trained gun dogs since 1986. At that time we took in all pointing breeds. Over the years we evolved into specializing in versatille breeds. At this time we exclusively train Girffons. Griffs require a light hand and much praise to train and most trainers are too harsh. Heavy handed training on a Griff will very negatively impact them. We have touched hundreds of Griffs and know what it takes to get the most out of them in the field without compromising their delightful personality. We pride ourselves in maintaining a squeaky clean and safe kennel.

Puppy Camp
The perfect introduction to the game for your new hunting companion.
During camp we properly introduce birds, guns and e-collars. Puppy camp is for pups 6 months to 1 year old and is a 30 day program. Once graduating from puppy camp most dogs will be searching with a purpose, holding a point while allowing you to move in front of the dog and flush a bird. Additionally they will be able to recall reliably to a call, whistle, voice or a tone on the e-collar, behaving on and off lead. He/she will be all business in the field. We use homing pigeons for most of the bird contact which allows us to keep your bird budget to a minimum.

Trained Retrieve
Unfortunately we have seen many Girffs brought to us that were severely compromised as a result of being sent to a "FORCE RETRIEVE Specialist" who typically works with retrieving breeds. Their techniques are too harsh for a Griff. We use a reward based method that nurtures a Griffons predisposition to retrieve.

Upon completion of this training your Griff will happily retrieve shot game to hand, from both land and water. If your dog is hard mouthed (rendering game unfit for the table) it will retrieve your bird without ruffling a feather. Your dog will no longer play "keep away".

Advanced Obedience & Gun Dog Training
This is a very high level of training.
We can advance your Griff to a finished level of steady to wing, shot and fall. It is a pleasure to follow behind a steady dog in the field. No yelling and screaming, no whistles, no anxiety and frustration.

Breeding and genetics will play a part in a dogs ability.
With hundreds of miles of public land, Idaho is home to Chukars, Hungarian Partridge, Pheasant and Quail.
